Q: How do I download SpyZooka and register it?

1. Download SpyZooka
2. Click the red underlined link at the top of SpyZooka.
3. Highlight your unique code with your mouse > right click with your mouse and choose “Copy” put your cursor into the unique code field in SpyZooka, right click with your mouse and click “Paste.”
4. Follow those same directions to copy/paste your serial number.
5. After you have both your codes entered click “Register.”

Q: Will SpyZooka work on my computer?

SpyZooka works on all Microsoft Windows platforms. This includes Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, XP 64 bit, Media Center, Vista and Vista 64 bit.

Q: Does SpyZooka work with my favorite browser?

SpyZooka’s SpyGuard feature prevents future spyware infections. SpyZooka has some guards exclusive to Internet Explorer. However, the main SpyZooka guards work with and prevent future spyware infections with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, and Opera.

Q: What does SpyZooka remove

SpyZooka detects and removes spyware, adware, keyloggers, trojan horses, worms, malware, hijackers, dialers, unwanted toolbars, rootkits, rogue antispyware, botnets, unwanted browser plugins, and any related threats.

Q: Another antispyware program detects more spyware than SpyZooka

First make sure you are using legitimate antispyware software. There are many “rogue antispyware” software that infect your computer and claim you have spyware on your computer, when in fact the only spyware is their software. They will display popups on your computer and other “security alerts” to trick you into buying their software. Examples of these rogue software are Contra Virus, Winfixer, Antivermins, Spycrush, Brave Sentry, Antivirus Gold and Malware Alarm. SpyZooka detects and removes these rogue antispyware software.

Please make sure the antispyware software you use detects spyware using a cryptographic signature like md5 or crc32. This is important because if they only use file names to detect spyware they will be full of false positives. In other words they claim you have spyware on your computer when in fact you don’t. SpyZooka uses a cryptographic signature to make sure we safely detect your spyware and remove it.

Sometimes SpyZooka detects the same amount of spyware as other antispyware software, but it appears they detect more, let me explain. SpyZooka labels each spyware as one spyware, while some antispyware software labels each file as a separate spyware. For example: if you have Cool Web Search (a popular spyware) on your computer SpyZooka labels it as 1 spyware, but it may detect 30 different Cool Web Search files on your computer. Another antispyware software will label it as 30 different infections to make it appear they detect more spyware.

SpyZooka sometimes detects fewer cookies than other antispyware software. Some antispyware software detects all the cookies on your computer and labels it as spyware. We feel it misleading to tell people that most cookies are a threat to you, because they aren't. For example: cookies are needed when you login to a member’s area of a website, such as your banking site or online trading account.

Lastly, SpyZooka doesn’t detect and remove software that you want on your computer. For example: some antispyware software removes the Alexa toolbar, we don’t. When you voluntarily download the Alexa toolbar we feel its software you want on your computer so we don’t remove it. SpyZooka focuses on detecting and removing spyware that are harmful to you. We don’t like to bother you with confusing descriptions or with detecting software on your computer that you want to keep.

Q: I have antivirus on my computer. Do I still need SpyZooka?

Antivirus software does not protect you from spyware. All computers connected to the internet need antivirus, firewall and antispyware software like SpyZooka. Q: I cannot download updates

Please make sure you have SpyZooka version 2.5.8.2 (or a later version) - you can check this on the Status screen bottom line. If you have an older version - download the latest SpyZooka version.

Please make sure your firewall and antivirus software allow SpyZooka access to the internet.

If you have an internet accelerator please add SpyZooka to the exceptions list. If you still cannot download updates please disable your accelerator and then update SpyZooka.
